Honesty of a small boy

One day a boy of class nine was going to school. Suddenly he saw a moneybag dropped by someone on the road. He was quite at a loss. He looked around and found no body on the way. Then he decided to pick it up but he did not open it. He said to himself, “Now it’s my duty to find out its owner and return it.” He thought that it must be dropped by a passerby. He went home. Moreover, he gave the moneybag to his father and then told everything about it. After that, he and his father checked the bag and found a visiting card on which an address was written. He also got the phone number of the owner and phoned the owner but the owner could not believe him. So he requested the boy to carry the bag to his house the boy went to his house returned it and the owner became very pleased with the honest boy and prayed to Allah for his success in life. The boy returned home and his father told him proudly that honesty is the best policy.

                                                              A cook and his master A clever cook and his ready wit A cook once roasted a duck for his master. The roast looked so delicious that the cook could not resist the temptation and ate up one of the drumsticks. When the master sat down to eat, he quickly noticed the missing of the leg and asked him about the other leg. The cook told him that the duck has only one leg. The master was not to be fooled and so said that there was no such thing as one legged duck. The cook insisted that the duck had one leg only. The master was very annoyed. A Greedy Dog and a Piece of Meat

 Once a dog stole a piece of meat from a butcher's shop. He was very glad to have it and thought of a heavy meal at home. He was greedy. On the way there was a small river. Over the river there was a bridge. The river was full to the brim. While the dog  was passing the bridge he saw his own shadow into the water. But he thought it was another dog. The shadow dog also had a piece of meat that was his own meat. But the dog was unable to understand the matter. To have that  piece of meat the dog barked and jumped  into the river. As he opened his mouth his own meat dropped into the water. He tried his best to have his own but in vain. The dog was foolish. So, he lost not only his meat but also his life. The teaching of the story is 'grasp all lost all'.
