A Giant and His Garden

Once  there was giant. He was selfish. He had a large beautiful garden. The garden  was full of soft green grass. Here and there all over the grass stood many colourful flowers like stars. There was a nice in the  garden where the beautiful young children used to play everyday.

But they did not know about the selfish giant who was the owner of the garden. One day they came and started playing in it. Suddenly the giant saw the children playing in his garden. As he  was selfish, he forbade them to play in it. Moreover, he made a big wall around the garden and the children were shocked because they could not enter into the garden. So, Allah was displeased with the giant for his selfish activity.

As a result, the garden became desolate soon and no flowers bloomed in it. At last the giant could realize his fault and requested the children to play in the garden but was too late. The children  never came to play  in the garden . As a result, the garden lost  its beauty and charm for ever.

The giant went one of his friend's house. He stayed there several years. His friend was also a good man. He prayed to Allah. The selfish giant followed his friend and became a good man.

He thought about his garden and the wall. He came back to his garden and broke the wall. As a result, the children entered into the garden and was playing. The flowers were blooming and the garden became green again. The giant thanked Allah and was living happily with the innocent children whole day.

A Greedy Dog and a Piece of Meat

Once a dog stole a piece of meat from a butcher's shop. He was very glad to have it and thought of a heavy meal at home. He was greedy. On the way there was a small river. Over the river there was a bridge. The river was full to the brim. While the dog  was passing the bridge he saw his own shadow into the water. But he thought it was another dog. The shadow dog also had a piece of meat that was his own meat. But the dog was unable to understand the matter. To have that  piece of meat the dog barked and jumped  into the river. As he opened his mouth his own meat dropped into the water. He tried his best to have his own but in vain. The dog was foolish. So, he lost not only his meat but also his life. The teaching of the story is 'grasp all lost all'.
