A Lion and a Mouse

 Once upon a time, a lion was sleeping in a forest. Suddenly a mouse came there.It did not notice the sleeping lion. It was running about and playing happily. 

By chance it was ran over the face of the lion. It awoke the lion . At this the lion grew very angry and caught the mouse. The mouse became afraid and began to tremble in fear but it did not lose heart. It said to the lion, "Please, forgive me. I will repay your kindness one day." Hearing this, the lion smiled and let the mouse go. He also told it to do its own job.

Days, months and years passed. One night the lion was caught in a hunter's net.  He tried his best to be free. from the net but in vain. He  began to roar and  said, "Save me please , save me please." 

The mouse heard the roar and found the lion in a trap. The  mouse said,  "Great king, don't worry and keep quiet. I  will set you free soon." It  cut the net pieces and the lion became free. The lion thanked the mouse and said that all both great and small are equally important on earth.

A cook and his master

                                                              A cook and his master A clever cook and his ready wit A cook once roasted a duck for his master. The roast looked so delicious that the cook could not resist the temptation and ate up one of the drumsticks. When the master sat down to eat, he quickly noticed the missing of the leg and asked him about the other leg. The cook told him that the duck has only one leg. A Greedy Dog and a Piece of Meat

 Once a dog stole a piece of meat from a butcher's shop. He was very glad to have it and thought of a heavy meal at home. He was greedy. On the way there was a small river. Over the river there was a bridge. The river was full to the brim. While the dog  was passing the bridge he saw his own shadow into the water. But he thought it was another dog. The shadow dog also had a piece of meat that was his own meat. But the dog was unable to understand the matter. To have that  piece of meat the dog barked and jumped  into the river. As he opened his mouth his own meat dropped into the water. He tried his best to have his own but in vain. The dog was foolish. So, he lost not only his meat but also his life. The teaching of the story is 'grasp all lost all'.
