My pet animal (Cat)

In our country, some animals are kept in house in order to live in.  They are known as domestic pets. They serve us in many ways.

The cow, the dog, and the goat are the main domestic pets of our people. They are more or less useful to us. The cat is my favorite domestic pet. I call it mini. I love it very much.

My mini is a very beautiful to look at. It is white in colors. It has round head. It has sharp claws. It has pointed teeth. Its eyes are bright. It can see well in the dark. My mini is fond of fish and milk. It kills mice and eats them. I give it food regularly.

I love my mini. I take care of it like a baby. It kills rats at night and saves us from their troubles. It likes to lie down on my lap. It likes to play with the children. It looks tenderly at me as if I want to say something.

My mini is a gentle animal. I feed it properly and treat it with care and affection.

                                                              A cook and his master A clever cook and his ready wit A cook once roasted a duck for his master. The roast looked so delicious that the cook could not resist the temptation and ate up one of the drumsticks. When the master sat down to eat, he quickly noticed the missing of the leg and asked him about the other leg. The cook told him that the duck has only one leg. The master was not to be fooled and so said that there was no such thing as one legged duck. The cook insisted that the duck had one leg only. The master was very annoyed. A Greedy Dog and a Piece of Meat

 Once a dog stole a piece of meat from a butcher's shop. He was very glad to have it and thought of a heavy meal at home. He was greedy. On the way there was a small river. Over the river there was a bridge. The river was full to the brim. While the dog  was passing the bridge he saw his own shadow into the water. But he thought it was another dog. The shadow dog also had a piece of meat that was his own meat. But the dog was unable to understand the matter. To have that  piece of meat the dog barked and jumped  into the river. As he opened his mouth his own meat dropped into the water. He tried his best to have his own but in vain. The dog was foolish. So, he lost not only his meat but also his life. The teaching of the story is 'grasp all lost all'.
