Part 02: Assertive to Interrogative Sentence

Rule – 14. To be verb যুক্ত Assertive sentence কে interrogative করতে to be verb যুক্ত অংশ sentence  এর সামনে নিয়ে আসতে হয় এবং Shortly ‘n’t’  যোগে sentence টি Interrogative হয় এবং শেষে Note of interrogation (?) বসে।
Example:
Assertive: He is absent from the meeting.
Interrogative: Isn’t he absent from the meeting?
Assertive: We can do the work.
Interrogative: Can’t we do the work?
Rule 15. যদি Assertive Sentence এ to be verb না থাকে তবে Sentence এর আগে Tense ও Subject অনুযায়ী do /does /did or, don’t/doesn’t /didn’t বসে।
Example:
Assertive: He plays cricket.
Interrogative: Does he play cricket?
Assertive: I eat rice.
Interrogative: Do I eat rice?
Rule 16. Never  থাকলে ever এবং Nothing  থাকলে anything  যোগ করে  Interrogative  করতে হয়।
Example:
Assertive: I never drink tea.
Interrogative: Do I ever drink tea?
Assertive: There was nothing to do.
Interrogative: Was there anything to do?
Rule 17: Everybody / Everyone/Name  থাকলে এর পরিবর্তে Who  বসে ।
Assertive: Everybody wishes to be happy.
Interrogative: Who doesn’t wish to be happy?
Assertive:  Everyone loves flower.
Interrogative: Who doesn’t love flower?
Rule 18. Every man must থাকলে Is there any ----- যোগ করতে হয়।
Example:
Assertive: Every man must die.
Interrogative: Is there any man who will not die?
Rule 19. Nobody/ None/No one থাকলে who বসে।
Example:
Assertive: Nobody could ever count my helping for you.
Interrogative: Who could ever count my helping for you?
Assertive: No one can do this.
Interrogative: Who can do this?
Rule 20. It is no use থাকলে is there any use হয়।
Example:
Assertive: It is no use memorizing answer for any examination.
Interrogative: Is there any use of memorizing answer for any examination?
Rule 21. It does not matter এর পরিবর্তে  what though বসে।
Assertive: It does not matter if we lose the game.
Interrogative: What though if we lose the game?

                                                              A cook and his master A clever cook and his ready wit A cook once roasted a duck for his master. The roast looked so delicious that the cook could not resist the temptation and ate up one of the drumsticks. When the master sat down to eat, he quickly noticed the missing of the leg and asked him about the other leg. The cook told him that the duck has only one leg. A Greedy Dog and a Piece of Meat

 Once a dog stole a piece of meat from a butcher's shop. He was very glad to have it and thought of a heavy meal at home. He was greedy. On the way there was a small river. Over the river there was a bridge. The river was full to the brim. While the dog  was passing the bridge he saw his own shadow into the water. But he thought it was another dog. The shadow dog also had a piece of meat that was his own meat. But the dog was unable to understand the matter. To have that  piece of meat the dog barked and jumped  into the river. As he opened his mouth his own meat dropped into the water. He tried his best to have his own but in vain. The dog was foolish. So, he lost not only his meat but also his life. The teaching of the story is 'grasp all lost all'.
