Discipline

Discipline means obedience to rules and regulations framed for human being. We cannot do anything correctly without discipline. It is  a great virtue. Its value is great. It is the root of all virtues. As a social being, man has to abide by some rules and regulations to maintain peace and happiness in the society. A man without discipline cannot shine in life. The family, the society, the office and the state cannot go without it. We find it in schools and colleges, in the army and in the battle field. Teaching learning will not be possible without this virtue. It is followed everywhere in nature. The earth , the moon , the  stars and all planets move round the sun following discipline strictly.In fact, human society is based on discipline. This virtue is the root of all happiness and success. A life without discipline is like a ship without a rudder. So, we all must cultivate this virtue from our childhood to all stages of life.

Predicament of King Lear Or, King Lear and his Daughters.

 Once upon a time there was a king in England. He had three daughters. They are Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. One day he made up his mind to divide his kingdom among them.So he called them in the court and asked each of them how much they loved him.He also declared that the largest part would be given to the one who loved him most. At first he asked his eldest daughter Goneril, "How much do you love me?"  and she replied that she had loved him more than she would say. Lear was satisfied, called for the map of his kingdom and drew his finger  round a part of it. Then came the turn of second daughter Regan who told her father that her love for him would never end and change. Being pleased , Lear gave her another part of his kingdom . Then it was turn of Cordelia, the youngest and most loved daughter but Cordelia did not flatter her father like her elder sisters. Rather she said, "Nothing.  Once upon a time there was a king who was very fond of knowing his future from an astrologer. A famous astrologer happen to stop at his capital on his way to Beneras. The king called on him to know his future and the astrologer said something unpleasant. At this the king got furious.
