Justification the opinion for discarding arithmetic from SSC level.

In 1997 Arithmetic was removed from S.S.C. level in Bangladeshi  Curriculum. So testing became very important on this issue.  Have any impact  in teaching - learning  for this changing in the lower level? It was justified in  a  research, mentioned above . It was an experimental thesis. The result was not definitely on behalf of  removing  Arithmetic.
