An English poet was staying in Italy for the benefit of his health. During his stay there, he received an unpaid letter from one of his friend in England. The poet had to pay double postage to take delivery of the letter. But it contained nothing but the sentence, "I am well". The poet became very annoyed at this because he got the news no importance after paying double postage. So, he wanted to teach him a good lesson. The poet procured a heavy stone. He packed it up in a fine box and wrapped the box with colorful wrapping paper Then he posted the box to his friend's address with the words written on it "Carriage to be paid on delivery." Receiving it, his friend thought that the content of the parcel would be valuable and so gladly paid the heavy postage for carrying it.With great hope in mind, he opened the box. To his utter surprise he found nothing but a simple stone in it.The friend could understand the point. In fact, he got his due reward for his fun.
